Aerotek Electromechanical Assembler in Lake Forest, California

1st shift - $20-25/hr Electromechanical Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electromechanical Assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling electronic components and sub-assemblies from individual parts while adhering to quality standards and company procedures. This position offers a competitive pay range of $20-$25 per hour and operates on a 7am-3:30pm shift.

Responsibilities

  • Read and understand blueprints

  • Assemble electronic components and sub-assemblies from individual parts

  • Complete necessary paperwork for assembly orders

  • Follow all company procedures and quality standards

  • Perform surface-mount and through-hole soldering on printed circuit boards

  • Trim, clip, crimp, and tin wires and leads

  • Properly label finished products

  • Fabricate, test, and troubleshoot electrical cables, harnesses, and electronic components for high-reliability integration

  • Build harnesses and cables

  • Assemble, fabricate, and inspect complex box builds

  • Integrate electrical and mechanical assemblies

  • Install, mount, fasten, align, and adjust parts, components, wiring, and harnesses to subassemblies and assemblies using hand and small power tools

  • Operate automatic and semi-automatic machines to position, solder, and clean components on printed circuit boards

  • Replace defective components and repair or overhaul older assemblies

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in reading blueprints

  • Experience with electronic assembly

  • Ability to perform surface-mount and through-hole soldering

  • Skilled in trimming, clipping, crimping, and tinning wires and leads

  • Experience in fabricating, testing, and troubleshooting electrical cables and harnesses

  • Capability to build harnesses and cables

  • Ability to integrate electrical and mechanical assemblies

  • Experience in using hand and small power tools

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of ITAR regulations

  • Experience with automatic and semi-automatic machines for PCB assembly

  • Proficiency in operating soldering and cleaning machines for PCBs

Work Environment

This role is based in a very clean manufacturing environment, working from 7am to 3:30pm. You will use a variety of tools and equipment, including hand and small power tools, as well as automatic and semi-automatic machines for PCB assembly.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake Forest, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00
