Description:

Mechanically inclined. This person will Operate welding machinery and/or tandem presses to join or bond metal components, produce, verify, stack, and sort metal stampings by performing the following duties:

Manually loads parts or blanks into machine and places parts into inventory baskets

Inspects components and assemblies visually for quality defects including scrap marks, rust, burrs, lamination, missing welds, etc

Inspects parts for quality defects

Measures parts to insure they meet specifications

Records and reports production, quality and inventory information accurately

Monitors weld machine or press for proper operation and reports any malfunctions or problems to supervisor and maintenance

Performs all duties and operates machinery and equipment according to TOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, earplugs, etc.)

Labels and/or tags parts and baskets accurately

Performs routine and preventative maintenance and setup including, but not limited to, die setting/fastening, machine lubrication

Tools utilized include hand held pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, die bars, etc

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Machine operation and set- ups and changeovers with machinery is a huge plus. No Certs needed, no medical monitoring.
