Job Description
Join our team as a Seed Technician at our Cottonseed Manufacturing facility in Lubbock, where you will be engaged in all facets of seed production. Your role will involve indoor seed processing and packaging activities including receiving, scanning, cleaning, treating, sorting, counting, labeling, and warehousing seed. You will also be responsible for preventive maintenance of equipment in assigned areas and may engage in organizing, moving, and placing seed into storage while maintaining inventory accuracy utilizing electronic inventory systems. This role requires technical aptitude and the ability to operate computers and other digital devices. Training and certifications will be provided as necessary.
Hard Skills
Production experience
Agricultural experience
Technology handling including RF and handheld scanners
Basic mechanical ability
Understanding of equipment maintenance
Experience with MS Office / Excel
Soft Skills
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Adherence to safety requirements
Flexibility to work different shifts
Physical stamina for bending, lifting, and extended periods standing or sitting

This is a fully on-site position in Lubbock, Texas.
Work Environment
Cottonseed manufacturing plant. The environment can be cold or hot depending on the part of the plant you are working in. The pace is fast.
