Job Title: Plumber
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled plumber with extensive experience in both commercial and residential plumbing to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing new services in new houses, interpreting building plans, and ensuring all plumbing work is executed to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
Install new services on new houses.
Locate and mark the position of pipes and pipe connections and passage holes for pipes in walls and floors using ruler, spirit level, and plumb bob.
Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings using hand tools and power tools.
Cut and thread pipe using pipe cutters, cutting torch, and pipe-threading machine.
Install plumbing finishing and equipment as per plans.
Study building plans and working drawings to determine work required and sequence of installations.
Inspect structures to ascertain obstructions to be avoided to prevent weakening of structures resulting from the installation of pipes.
Calculate material take-off.
Order materials as needed.
Solder 2 1/2"+ pipes.
Essential Skills
5+ years of plumbing commercial and/or residential experience OR 3+ years of plumbing commercial and/or residential experience.
Journeyman certification required.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, layouts, and specifications (structural, architectural, civil, plumbing, and cut sheets).
Organizational skills and ability to maintain a clean work site.
Experience with a vast range of materials and proper installation of PVC DWV sch 40, CPVC sch 40 & 80, PEX, Uponor, carriers for WC, EWC, Lav, and urinals, hangers and supports for drains, water heaters, boilers, and all types of fixtures for finish.
Working knowledge of installing electrical systems in a new construction setting.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Positive attitude.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
CSLB license preferred but not required.
Licenses for plumbing, mechanical, and gas are an asset.

Work Environment
You will be working in a dynamic construction environment that involves both indoor and outdoor work. The role requires the use of various hand tools, power tools, and equipment necessary for plumbing installations. The work schedule may include standard hours as well as occasional overtime. The dress code is professional work attire suitable for a construction site.
