Job Description
Join our team as a Janitorial Worker and play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe hospital environment. Your responsibilities will include cleaning common areas and patient rooms, sweeping, dusting, mopping, taking out trash, changing bedding, wiping surface areas, and handling various other duties. You will occasionally clean bodily fluids, so comfort with this aspect is essential. This role does not involve direct patient engagement but requires cleaning patient-accessed areas. Initial training will be provided by a designated trainer, and ongoing support will be offered by a senior team member.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 1040 Hour(s).
Work Environment
The position is set in a busy hospital, offering a contract with potential for permanent employment after 1040 hours. The role operates within a union environment upon permanent hiring, which involves specific processes. Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM with a 30-minute lunch break. Candidates are expected to wear comfortable shoes, a collared shirt of any color, and black, blue, or khaki bottoms with no writings except for the designer's logo. Facial piercings and non-natural hair colors are not permitted. A valid vaccine card must be presented or available digitally. The hiring process includes a mandatory drug test and background check, followed by a TB skin test scheduled during specific hours.
