Job Title: CNC Machine Operator
Job Description
Sets up and operates standard and specialized machines to perform necessary operations in assigned departments. This includes working with CNC lathes (horizontal and vertical), CNC milling machines, manual lathes, manual mills, general hand tools, jib and overhead cranes, and understanding G-code for common machining operations. Additionally, you will learn to set up and operate any new machinery added to your assigned departments, check parts with standard gauges or precision measuring instruments, read blueprints, understand general GD&T principles, and document the condition of dies and die components.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC lathes (horizontal and vertical) and CNC milling machines.
Operate manual lathes and manual mills.
Utilize general hand tools, jib, and overhead cranes.
Understand and apply G-code for common machining operations.
Learn to set up and operate any new machinery added to the assigned departments.
Check parts using standard gauges or precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, depth micrometers, and dial indicators.
Submit parts for inspection as required.
Read blueprints and understand general GD&T principles.
Evaluate, inspect, and document the condition of dies and die components.
Log the status of the job.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a machine operator in a production/manufacturing environment.
High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
Legally authorized to work in the United States (Verification of employment eligibility required at the time of hire).
Compliance with ITAR requirements (U.S. person status).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Preferred machinist certification.
CNC machining experience.
3+ years of manufacturing experience.
3+ years of experience operating mobile equipment.
3+ years of experience using hand tools, power tools, and related equipment.
3+ years of experience in relatable machinery operations.
Ability to read and interpret product prints.
Ability to use inspection gauges and instruments.
Capability to set up machinery for operation by self or others.

Work Environment
Work inside the machine shop at the manufacturing plant. Shifts available are Monday-Thursday with Friday as an overtime day, from 6am to 4pm or 8pm to 6am. The schedule includes two paid 15-minute breaks and a paid 30-minute lunch.
