Job Title: Die Cast Machine Operator
Job Description
The employee will support the Die Cast Operators in the production of aluminum and magnesium die cast parts ranging in weight from several ounces to over 30 pounds. It is the responsibility of the employee to operate die casting machinery and inspect parts after production. Candidates will perform visual inspections and use easy-to-use plug gauges. The production includes parts for various industries such as Medical, Automotive, and Power sports.
Responsibilities
Operate die casting machinery to produce aluminum and magnesium die cast parts.
Perform visual inspections of parts after production.
Use plug gauges for inspection.
Support the Die Cast Operators in production tasks.
Ensure quality control by inspecting parts for defects.
Essential Skills
- 6+ months of machine operating experience in a production setting, preferably at a die cast facility.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in general labor, die cast, manufacturing operations.
Skills in deburring, grinding, and inspection of parts.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and environments.
Experience using micrometers and inspection equipment.

Work Environment
The company manufactures die cast products for multiple industries, working with aluminum and magnesium. They operate 24/7 with departments dedicated to secondary operations for casting products. Employees are required to be on their feet all day, wear safety glasses and ear plugs at all times. The work environment can be dirty and hot, but the company prides itself on being the cleanest die cast facility in the Twin Cities. Shifts include: 1st shift: Monday - Thursday 6am to 4:30pm, 2nd shift: Monday - Thursday 5:00pm - 3:30am with a $0.50 shift differential, and a weekend shift Friday - Sunday 6am to 6pm with a $2.00 shift differential. Possible overtime on Fridays.
