Aerotek Lathe Machinist in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Looking for CNC machinist wanting to run a lathe and cross train on other machines when needed. Multiple set ups/day. Great benefits!

1st and 2nd shift available!

$28-35/hr .

Description:

There are 3 different areas in the machine shop:

  1. Vertical CNC Milling Machinist: will be responsible for setting up and operating the VMCs, could be responsible for 2 machines at a time (total of 4 VMCs in the shop)

  2. CNC Turning Machinist: will be responsible for setting up and operating the CNC turning machines; could be responsible for 2-3 machines at a time (total of 7 lathes in the shop); will perform 2-5 set-ups/shift

  3. Manual Lathe Machinist: will be responsible for setting up and operating a manual lathe and multiple drill presses (this is not a current need)

Mori Seiki VMC/Lathe

Matsuura VMC

Haas VMC

Okuma Lathe

Cincinnati Lathe

Sunstraad Broach

Hofmann Balancer

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

-Ability to perform full set-ups (will train if light on set-ups)

-Ability to read blueprints

-Ability to inspect own parts with mics/cals

-Need to be willing to help out where needed (i.e. someone hired for a CNC spot may be asked to help with manual machining if their area is slow)
