Job Title: Punch Press Operator
Job Description
An ideal candidate will have had previous machine operating experience and will have worked in a metal stamping environment. This role will include running various punch presses throughout the shop, including progressive dies. The company makes washers and metal stampings and has the capabilities to do both one-stage stamps as well as progressive stamps. They work with up to 2,000 different types of materials to fit whatever the customer needs.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate straight side presses that are 60 tons and up, including servo presses. This will also include high-volume multi-out progressive tooling and feedlines.
Perform operations such as blanking, bending, punching, and forming based on blueprints and other instructions.
Read and understand blueprints, routing sheets, and/or work instructions to determine specifications.
Measure completed work and use shop math to verify conformance to specifications. Utilize hand tools such as micrometers and calipers to check parts in process.
Maintain production efficiencies of 80% or greater.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Experience setting up and operating progressive press machines.
Metal stamping machine operating experience.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, routing sheets, and work instructions.
Proficient in using hand tools such as micrometers and calipers.
Ability to perform shop math and verify conformance to specifications.
Strong command of the English language, including verbal and written communications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Understand tolerances such as +/- .005.
Proficient with basic computer skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Possess or be willing to purchase the required inspection and hand tools upon acceptance of the job offer.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00
