Job Title: Freight Handler
Job Description
Seeking a diligent Freight Handler to perform freight handling using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Responsibilities include verifying freight documentation matches the freight description, securing freight inside trailers using tools and supplies, and assisting customers with freight and documentation as needed. The role also involves complying with all applicable laws and company policies, repairing damaged freight, and completing necessary documentation and reports. Additional duties may be assigned as required.
Hard Skills
Forklift operation experience
Valid forklift certificate within the last 1-2 years
2+ Years of Experience
High School Diploma
Warehouse experience (minimum 6 months)
Soft Skills
Attention to detail
Ability to work in a team
Strong communication skills
Problem-solving abilities

This is a contract position with a duration of 3 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Mississauga, Ontario.
Work Environment
Dock environment with exposure to varied weather conditions, exhaust, fumes, dust, and noise. Lifting may be required of 50-100lbs.
