Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

This position is for a Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for performing 50% reactive maintenance and 50% preventive maintenance (PMs). The reactive maintenance tasks primarily involve repairing hydraulic and pneumatic components on slitter machines or roll grinding machines. The technician will need to be skilled in fabrication work, including welding parts or brackets onto machines for proper repair. Additionally, familiarity with 3-phase 480v motors and replacing sensors is required. Preventive maintenance tasks typically include replacing motors or greasing bearings.

Responsibilities

  • Perform reactive maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic components of slitter machines and roll grinding machines.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance, including replacing motors and greasing bearings.

  • Perform fabrication work, such as welding parts and brackets onto machines.

  • Work with 3-phase 480v motors.

  • Replace sensors as needed.

Essential Skills

  • 3 years of experience with hydraulics.

  • 3 years of experience with pneumatics.

  • Experience working with 3-phase 480v motors.

  • Welding and fabrication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous coil experience.

  • Understanding of what a PLC is.

Work Environment

This is not a climate-controlled facility and has a faint smell of paint due to the proximity of the paint line to the slitter line. The working hours are from 4 PM to 4 AM or vice versa, with a rotating schedule of 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, and 3 days off. The ideal candidate should be available for night shifts, though day shifts may be considered. Employees need to have their own basic set of tools and are required to wear jeans and steel-toe boots.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00
