Aerotek Mechanic in North Charleston, South Carolina

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance on service trucks and reach stackers, troubleshoot electrical issues, and more. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of internal combustion engines, hydraulic circuits, and automotive-type air conditioning systems. Experience with bearing replacements and proficiency in using email and other computer-based applications are also required.

Hard Skills

  • Troubleshooting electrical issues (DC theory)

  • Understanding of internal combustion engine (building and assembling)

  • Preventative maintenance

  • Understanding of hydraulic circuits

  • Proficiency with automotive type air conditioning systems

  • Experience with bearing replacements

  • Proficiency in using email and other computer-based applications

Work hours are from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for overtime. The role requires wearing steel-toed shoes and safety glasses, and working in the heat on the port tarmac.
