Aerotek Machine Operator in North Ridgeville, Ohio

Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Machine Operator to join our team. You'll be working on a 1st shift from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm or a 2nd shift from 5:15 pm to 3:45 am, Monday through Thursday. Your primary responsibilities will include setting up and operating shop machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, interpreting blueprints, drawings, Job Orders, routers, and diagrams to select dies, position, and secure machinery. You'll adhere to operating procedures/instructions and adjust machine settings to complete tasks per specification, maximizing productivity. Detecting and reporting defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisors will also be part of your daily routine. Furthermore, you're expected to communicate process and quality improvements via our internal system, maintain a clean and safe workstation, and follow our shop's 5S system.

Hard Skills

  • Ability to read and perform basic math skills

  • Ability to use various tools including tape measure, dial caliper, and other hand tools

  • Basic reading skills for understanding drawings, Job Orders, and specs

  • Strong manual dexterity

Soft Skills

  • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken

  • Able to follow directions

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 13 Week(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio.

Work Environment

Our company prides itself on maintaining an extremely clean manufacturing facility. There is no clutter and everything is organized meticulously. Although the facility is not temperature-controlled, we have fans everywhere which help to keep the temperature down.
