The material handler position is responsible for moving materials to appropriate locations in the plant/warehouse and insuring the proper flow of production material to the assigned area.
Reviews daily work schedule, checks and maintains fork lift equipment and temperature logs and prepares for the days operations.
Selects, loads, moves materials from trucks, shipping, receiving, packaging and production areas.
Removes materials from storage or shipping containers and restacks and re-palletize materials.
Moves prepared materials to appropriate locations in the plant and performs the appropriate computer transactions.
Top Skills Requirements:
Experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. .
Experience with Stand-Up forklift and working in a high rack warehouse environment
ERP/SAP knowledge for inventory management
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• HS Diploma.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. .
• Must be able to read and understand SOP’s & OSHA regs.
• Must have good computer skills for SAP/ERP for inventory management.
• Must have good verbal and written communication / comprehension skills.
• Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English.
