Aerotek is hiring Structural Steel Welders in the Petersburg, VA area!

Job Description

Join our team as a Welder, where you will fabricate, join, and repair metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques. Operate welding equipment and interpret blueprints, specifications, and drawings to determine the proper welding processes. Your primary materials will include all steel metal, and you will work extensively on Beam Lines and Saw Lines, ensuring welding and cutting precision in alignment with blueprints and instructions.

Hard Skills

  • MIG welding on structural steel

  • Interpreting blueprints, specifications, and drawings

  • Operating Beam Lines and Saw Lines

Soft Skills

  • Precision and attention to detail

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Petersburg, Virginia.

Work Environment

The role involves a mix of indoor and outdoor work, predominantly indoors. The plant does not have air conditioning, which may lead to warmer conditions during summer. You will be part of a smaller, growing team. Standard shift is 7 AM to 3 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime.
