Job Description

Aerotek is currently hiring for entry level welders that are looking to get their foot in the door with the welding industry. The ideal candidate must have prior industrial experience with at least 6 months of welding experience.

We are seeking individuals to join our Welding Shop team. In this role, you will be responsible for welding and operating machinery, monitoring machinery to ensure it is working correctly, working as part of an assembly line to deliver joists, and reading schematics to accurately assemble joists.

This position will start with learning the machinery, before progressing to a welding class. You will be operating welding machines and ensuring the joists are welded together correctly. There may also be opportunities to operate laser machines or other machinery as needed. If you have any MIG, TIG or Stick welding experience that is a huge plus.

Day Shift: $21/hour

2nd Shift: $23/hour

Work Environment

You will be working in a manufacturing plant where structural steel is being fabricated for bridge work. Most of the clean-up will occur in the joist shop. Please be aware that the environment can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
