Aerotek Tool And Die Maker HIRING NOW in Port Washington, Wisconsin

Job Description

-Work from blueprints, sketches, models, specifications, or other drawings to plan sequences for operations and machining, compute dimensions, etc.

-Verifying dimensions, alignments, and clearances of tools, dies, fixtures, and gauges using measuring tools.

-Visualize and compute dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of assemblies based on specifications.

-Set up and operate equipment such as lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses, and saws to cut, bore, grind, and shape parts to dimensions and finishes.

-Fitting and assembling parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools using hand/machine tools.

-Inspect finished dies for smoothness, defects, and contour conformity.

-Perform test runs with completed tools or dies to ensure specifications are met.

-Assist in the development and designing of new tools and dies using computer-aided design (CAD) software and perform other duties as assigned or required.

Hard Skills

-Ability to work from blueprints and drawings

-Operational knowledge of lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, and saws

-Proficiency in measuring instruments

-Experience with CAD software
