Aerotek Expeditor - Forklift / 22/HR in Portland, Oregon

Job Description

  • The main objective of this role is to assure the accurate and efficient movement of parts.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and documenting the transportation of products within our department or product team.

  • They will determine daily status, meet with leads to determine the needs and movement of parts to other areas, and ensure communication among production departments regarding product movement.

  • They will also report the status and schedule of products to Planning in order to ensure that delivery schedules are met.

  • The role includes tracking, documenting, and moving test bar materials through production and inspection operations to ensure that test materials are available and that shipping dates are met.

Pay:

  • $22/HR

Shift:

  • Monday - Friday

  • 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM

Location:

  • This is a fully on-site position in Portland, Oregon.

Work Environment

  • This job is located in a foundry environment with areas of extreme heat. There are a lot of moving parts such as forklifts, overhead cranes, conveyor systems, automated machinery, high temp furnaces, and it can be quite dusty. Safety is a top priority and the candidate will be expected to adhere to plant and department safety rules, safely operate all equipment and tools, and identify and report safety problems.
