Hiring for CNC Set Up Machinists in SW Portland. This is a direct hire opportunity with a $1500 sign on bonus. Great benefits and growth opportunities for those who are experienced in CNC machining.

Description:

• This is a combination role where you will be primarily performing set up's and first run for the machine operators. After ensuring all machines have been set up and successfully passed on to the operators, you may be responsible for running machines as well.

• Assists Lead Person in trouble-shooting problems with programs, tooling, fixtures, and out-of-print parts.

• Checks parts using CMM, gauges, and measurement tools.

• Exhibit strong understanding of Geometric Dimensions and Tolerancing (GD&T).

• Trains operators and oversees operator’s work alongside the department leads.

• Exhibit strong computer knowledge and ability to input parts into the computer and move them through the system and onto the next manufacturing step once completed.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Shifts:

Day: 5am - 3:30pm

Swing: 3:30pm - 2am

Work Weeks are either Sunday - Wednesday or Wednesday - Saturday

Pay:

$58k - $73k depending on experience and shift differentials - negotiable.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 years’ experience with machining and manufacturing or formal apprenticeship and 2 years of machining and manufacturing experience required. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be considered.

• Able to read, understand and follow work instructions.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Intermediate Blueprint Reading and strong shop math skills required.

• Must be able to interpret and apply GDT.

• Proficiency in with Windows Office and use of Personal Computer required.
