Job Title: Cleanroom Technician

Job Description

Shift: 9:00-5:30pm Monday-Friday

As a Cleanroom Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Engineering team by testing 3D printers and inspecting parts. You will utilize Microsoft Outlook and Excel for reporting purposes and be responsible for operating and training on cleaning procedures and GMP standards. Your role also includes occasional cleaning and maintenance of the lab.

• Will work closely with Engineering team to Test 3D Printers and inspect parts

• Will work closely with Outlook and Excel for reporting

• Operating Machines

• Safety training on Cleaning procedures and GMP

• Occasional cleaning and maintenance of the lab

• Proficient in Microsoft Office – this, more often than not, is a killer if a person can’t use the computer they are given to communicate with the team when they are not in the office

• Excellent communication skills – they will be conversing directly with the electrical engineering team about what the jobs are and what is required

• Attention to detail – we had a semi-constant issue where someone will just do what is asked, but in ways that do not make sense (adding connectors upside down, backwards, or with cold solder). We don’t make enough parts to get the process down and get it practiced. We regularly only make 5 machines and then never see those parts again.

• Cable fabrication and modification – soldering, crimping, reading schematics

• Circuit board fabrication – soldering small components onto a board (NOT a breadboard) using a microscope. Soldering can be performed on surface mount or through-hole components

• Circuit board modification – adding, removing, and replacing small components on existing circuit boards

• Possible use of scopes to troubleshoot systems

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Rancho Bernardo, California.

Work Environment

You will work in a cleanroom environment, which requires wearing a gown, gloves, and shoe covers. The lab setting may involve exposure to some chemical smells but maintains a very clean standard.
