Job Title: Warehouse/Backup Driver

Job Description

Prepare printed products for delivery, gather products, conduct quality control checks, verify pack slips, secure and load racks of products onto truck. Additionally, wrap and load pallets of printed products onto a truck. You will be expected to drive a daily route, round trip, to Bothell & Woodinville in a 16ft box truck (about a 3.5 hr. round trip). Your duties will include dropping off printed products to receiving departments, picking up empty bins, scanning barcodes into our portal using a laptop, organizing bins and doing follow-ups as needed. You will also be expected to load and take afternoon mail to the post office, which may require driving our 24ft box truck (no CDL required). There are other duties such as securing full and distributing empty recycle cages throughout the facility, acting as a material handler, and learning to operate a Load turner and stretch-wrap. Other equipment and duties may be assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Warehouse

• Prepare printed products for delivery, gather products, QC product, verify pack slips, secure and load racks of products onto truck

• Additionally secure wrap pallets and load pallets of printed products onto truck

• Drive a daily route, round trip, to Bothell & Woodinville in 16ft box truck.(about a 3.5 hr. round trip) *Avg traffic

• Drop off printed products to receiving departments

• Pick-up empty bins, scan barcodes into KP portal solution using laptop, bring empty bins back to KP, organize bins, follow-ups as needed

• Load and take afternoon mail to the post office. This may be several pallets and may require the driving of our 24ft box truck (no CDL required)

• 3Secure full and distribute empty recycle cages throughout the facility. Act as a material handler

• Need ability to be trained to use Rider Jack & stand up lift. (KP to train)

• Learn to operate Load turner & stretch-wrap system

• Label and stockpile merchandise according to size, shape, and type.

• Record and manage all impaired or damaged merchandise items

Backup Driver Duties:

• Safely driving a variety of trucks, mainly 26’ box trucks, to make deliveries to customers and pick up material at vendors. Following all state and federal traffic & highway laws, to include but not limited to: safety, speed, weight limits, etc.

• Double checking the material for each order once they arrive at the customers’ dock to verify that it is the correct material, correct quantity & is in good condition.

• Unloading the material at the customer site-sometimes bringing the material to the back of the truck so that the customer may unload using their forklifts- and sometimes hand unloading and carrying into the customer location.

• Marking packing slips with any changes, get a customer signature for the material and give a copy of the packing slip to customer.

• At various times, the Warehouse Associate may be asked to pick up return material from customer locations- they are to verify material, quantity and state of material and mark paperwork accordingly.

• Collecting payment for any COD orders and may be asked to pick up checks from customers- all payments collected are to be turned into the Kyana accounting department each day.
