Aerotek Tig Welder in Royal Oak, Michigan

Job Title: TIG Welder

Job Description

As a TIG Welder, you will report directly to the Welding Supervisor and Plant Manager. Your daily responsibilities include fabricating machined or cut parts into final products primarily using TIG welding techniques, with occasional MIG welding. You will work collaboratively in a team of 10 welders within the final assembly department. Additionally, you will use various hand tools and machinery to refine and prepare parts for assembly, as well as read and interpret specific blueprints for short-run, client-specific production. This position operates on a 2nd shift schedule from 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM, Monday through Thursday.

Job Type

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Madison Heights, Michigan.

The company is a top performer in manufacturing and assembling pathology, histology, necropsy, and morgue equipment, maintaining a clean and orderly environment. With a total of 84 employees and a welding group of 10, the work culture is laid-back and family-oriented. All work processes, from handling raw materials to the final product, are carried out under one roof, encompassing departments like Engineering, Machining, Welding, Metal Finishing, and Shipping/Receiving. Appropriate working attire includes a welding helmet, welding gloves, and steel-toe boots.
