Job Title: Assembler D - General

Job Description

Join our dedicated team in supporting the 787 program, where you will perform decorative interior repair in the aircraft cabin on assemblies made from various materials including fiberglass, plastic, and composites. This role involves tasks such as painting, sweep and fill, and working at various stages of the aircraft assembly process in factory and/or flight line locations. Your main responsibilities will include reading and understanding engineering drawings and instructions, selecting correct parts, materials, tools, and assemblies, and troubleshooting and developing solutions to complex non-standard work. You will also be required to maintain exemplary housekeeping and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) standards, and correspond with internal teams and external suppliers with integrity and respect.

Hard Skills

  • Ability to work variable shifts

  • 3 years of aerospace fabrication or manufacturing experience with decorative finishes

  • Skills in file sand paint, decorative laminate, declam, and cosmetic rework (e.g., paint color match, surface texture match)

Soft Skills

  • Ability to work independently with limited direction

  • Strong communication skills

  • Capability to maintain a clean, neat, organized, and FOD-free work area

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in SAN ANTONIO, TX.

Work Environment

Candidates must be available to work variable shifts based on business needs, including 1st shift (0530 to 1400) and 2nd shift (1430 to 2300). Work involves rotation of head/neck, bending, twisting at the waist, walking, standing, kneeling, crouching, climbing/balancing, flexion/extension, and lifting and carrying less than 35 pounds. Exposure to liquid coatings, plastics, sealants, solvents, noise, and the use of personal safety gear is part of the job. Workspaces include indoor temperature-controlled environments and outdoor open environments.
