Aerotek Quality Inspector in San Diego, California
Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description
As a Quality Inspector, your core duty will be inspecting Zirconia finished products. You will be tasked with ensuring that the information on the labels of each product is accurate and that the products are free from defects such as chips or contamination. Your daily routine will involve inspecting between 200-300 boxes per shift. Each inspection will require your signature and date to confirm the products are in good condition. You will also be responsible for maintaining proper inspection and test records, ensuring non-conforming material is properly identified, and providing solutions to technical problems. Additionally, you will be expected to maintain lot traceability, log sheets, and good housekeeping practices at all times. From time to time, you may be assigned other duties as well.
Hard Skills
Proficiency in using microscope, digital calipers, micrometer, optical comparator, vision measurement system
Ability to provide in-process/final inspection and testing
Experience in maintaining proper inspection and test records
Capability to identify non-conforming material
Ability to maintain lot traceability and log sheets

Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in San Diego, California.
Work Environment
The work environment is an older building where you will work with 1-2 other inspectors on your shift. The job requires wearing gloves and a lab coat during inspections. The role can be monotonous at times but offers opportunities for training in other products and sections. You will spend 80% of your time inspecting products and 20% moving parts back and forth. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 10:00am - 6:00pm with flexibility in start and end times.
