Aerotek Forklift Operator in Seaford, Delaware
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The Forklift Operator will also be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, performing routine maintenance on the forklift, and ensuring a safe working environment.
Responsibilities:
Operate a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise
Perform routine maintenance on the forklift, such as checking oil and water levels, and reporting any malfunctions
Ensure inventory accuracy by verifying and documenting the quantity and quality of items received and shipped
Load and unload trucks and containers using the forklift
Ensure a safe working environment by following safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
Communicate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective operations
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Good communication and interpersonal skills
