Trailer Mechanic / Yard Operator
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Trailer Mechanic / Yard Operator, where you will assist in managing the intake and organization of chassis and trailers. Your responsibilities will include conducting initial inspections, coordinating the placement of trailers within the yard, and utilizing a straightforward app to upload photos and track necessary details. You will also perform repairs, including full brake jobs, fabrication, and welding, with on-the-job training provided for specific skills. Additionally, you will operate heavy lifting equipment to maneuver trailers around the facility, ensuring smooth yard operations.

Work Environment
This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and involves physical activities, including moving and repairing trailers. The role includes operating large, heavy forklifts and working in a small shop environment. Our facility is equipped with a comfortable break room, locker rooms, and computer rooms. Monthly safety meetings are held to ensure everyone's voice is heard and to maintain our commitment to safety.
