Aerotek Lead Finishing Carpenter in Seattle, Washington

Aerotek on behalf of its client are looking for Journeyman level finishing carpenters to be trained into a lead position. The main goal of this position is to install pergola systems on residential and commercial client sites

Interview Required

Pay 25-30 an hour while on contract

Lead Carpenter Job Description

  • Lead Carpenter/Installers execute residential and commercial pergola systems. Installers will review the organization's permit docs, sketches and other various documents in order to install the pergola product per speculations.

  • It is the Lead's responsibility to ensure proper installation techniques, safety, proper customer communication and maintain a positive company image

  • Specific duties shall include (but are not limited to):

  • Provides construction site leadership, assigns helpers to construction activities and monitors daily performance and completion of tasks.

  • Works with Production Manager on preconstruction, construction and post construction

  • Demonstrates competency and confidence in all trades necessary to complete a job from start to finish including but not limited to demolition, framing, prep,

  • Resolves job site issues or escalates them to the Production Manager or Regional Install

  • Manager

  • Bring all components necessary to complete a job on a daily basis

  • Interfaces and communicates with clients about construction details and layout

  • Job requires travel

  • Ability to layout, plumb posts, and level system

  • Install gutters, lovers and all aspects of systems

  • Maintains job site to ensure minimal impact on client's property

  • Maintains a professional image and clean working environment

  • Upon completion of system, required to clean the system and customer property,, perform a leak test, and provide signed off paperwork. Ascertain video content upon job completion.

  • Provide receipts for any purchases made and complete an expense report weekly

  • Fill out necessary paperwork required for installation

  • Notify RIM, Production and Ops managers of any significant changes

  • Get customer signatures on any changes

  • Maintain company property

  • Clean vehicles weekly, throw away garbage and misc paperwork

  • Tool inventory is the Lead's responsibility. Know what is on your vehicle and if it goes missing report to Production Manager asap

  • Operate a forklift

  • Load Materials, Unload Materials, Heavy Lifting

  • Follow all safety regulations

  • Operates tools

  • Access Job Nimbus for pertinent job information

  • Contact office via slack for daily updates

  • Attend daily am meeting

  • Interpret sketches, Engineered docs,

  • Deal with inspectors and inspections
