Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a General Production Worker, where you will have the opportunity to work across four key departments, gaining valuable cross-training and diverse skills. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing raw rollers in the CASTING department

  • Operating manufacturing machines in the GRINDING department

  • Conducting final inspections and coating in the COATING department

  • Managing the packaging and preparation of rollers for shipment in the PACKING department.

  • You will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment aiming to meet production goals.

Hard Skills

  • Ability to work in high heat and higher heated areas

  • Experience with lifting moderate weights (up to 30 lbs)

  • Ability to operate machinery and perform detailed inspections

  • Ability to read and interpret written instructions and work orders

Soft Skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Willingness to work in a collaborative team environment

  • Adaptability to work across multiple departments

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 720 Hour(s).

Shift & Pay

  • 1st shift: 3:45am - 2:15pm / $16.50

  • 2nd shift: 2:15pm - 12:30am / $17.50

  • 3rd shift: 10:00pm - 6:15am /$17.50

Work Site

  • This is a fully on-site position in Shelbyville, Indiana.

Work Environment

  • This role is based in a small to medium-sized, team-oriented manufacturing facility with around 90 hourly employees across first and second shifts.

  • Training will occur on the first or second shift for 1 to 2 weeks, after which you will move to the third shift under supervision.

  • Workdays are Monday through Thursday with 10-hour shifts, and potential overtime on Fridays.
