Aerotek Traveling Tig Welder in Sherman, Texas

Description:

TIG welders will be responsible for the fabrication and welding of aerospace tubular, sheet metal and casting engine components. Comprised of stainless steel, Inconel, cobalt, and aluminum alloys. These systems may consist of pipes, fittings, piping systems, fixtures and equipment for heating, cooling, gas, steam, lubricating, sprinknling, and industrial processing systems. Must be certified (6G pipe) to weld using material such as carbon steel, stainless and aluminum. Lays-out, positions, aligns, fits, tack-welds, assembles and installs valves, hangers, pipe and fittings composed of metals such as iron, steel, aluminum, brass, copper and nonmetals such as fiberglass and plastic using hand tools, roustabouts, grasshoppers, come-alongs, chin falls and power tools. Bends pipe by hand or with a pipe-bending machine.

Weld Test Details:

The weld test will be a ASME Section IX 2” 6G position, weld on schedule 40, 304 stainless steel pipe. It will be X-Ray tested by a 3rd party QAQC company.

Job site is in Sherman, TX. Will be working in a clean room environment.

5+ years of experience as a TIG welder is preferred. Per diem is $125 day worked.
