Aerotek Fabricator (Afternoon) in SURREY, British Columbia
Job Title: Fabricator (Afternoon Shift)
Job Description
Join our team as a Fabricator and take on the challenge of fabricating large gauge pipes, conveyors, and products for heavy industries such as oil/gas, pulp paper, forestry, and environmental sectors. You will be responsible for creating large products, some up to a couple hundred feet in length, in a custom jobbing shop setting. This role requires a commitment to working with thick gauge steel and adhering to tight deadlines, ensuring high-quality outputs for custom projects.
Work Environment
Our work environment is fast-paced and driven, originally known for making ramps, heavy-duty attachments, and conveyors. We also create various custom products for the industrial industry. You will work on a variety of custom projects, either independently or as part of a team. The afternoon shift runs Monday through Thursday from 3:15 pm to 1:15 am, including paid breaks and a $2/hr afternoon premium. Overtime is required.
Hard Skills
5+ years of fabricating experience in a Jobbing Shop with thick gauge steel
1+ years of experience with Fluxcore
Ability to read blueprints
Ownership of basic fabrication tools
Experience in tack welding
STWB certification
Soft Skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable with fast-paced and deadline-driven work environment
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 720 Hour(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Surrey, British Columbia.
