Aerotek Machinist in Tacoma, Washington

Description:

The Machinists role is to machine castings per the customer requirements following all quality control standards quality with safety as a top priority.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Comply with organizational health, safety, and environmental rules and regulations

• Setup & operate medium to large Conventional/CNC Vertical Lathe’s & Horizontal Boring Machines along with miscellaneous lathes & milling operations.

• Have a working knowledge of CNC controllers

• Work to hold Scheduling and maintain a good workflow

• Create maintenance work orders as needed to keep the equipment and tools in good working order

• Perform preventative maintenance necessary for the Machine Tool

• Participate in cost saving or process improvement projects

• Maintain good housekeeping at your work station

• Immediately correct safety issues that are within your area and alert management to any safety issues that need further attention

• Participate in special activities, projects, and programs in order to support BRADKEN’s safety, quality, and productivity goals

• Other duties as assigned or requested

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent*

• Minimum of four years experience as a Journey Level Machinist*

• Apprenticeship certificate or equal is a plus*

• Experience running and operating conventional/CNC medium to large vertical lathes & horizontal boring machines with strong working knowledge of CNC controls

Experience Level:

Intermediate Level
