Aerotek Millwright in Tacoma, Washington

Description:

Millwrights will install machinery & equipment according to layouts plans, blueprints, and other drawings in industrial settings. Repair, Maintenance & refurbishment of equipment and machinery in accordance with factory standards.

Responsibilities:

-Install, dismantle or move machinery and heavy equipment according to layout plans, blueprints or other drawings.

-Fabricate, modify or repair mechanical instruments.

-Perform work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines and mechanical equipment in repair.

-Operate machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, cranes and jackhammers when needed.

-Other duties may involve pipe fitting, welding, machining, carpentry, or mechanical equipment, installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment, using hoist, jacks, hand tools, squares, rulers, and micrometers.

-Perform other duties as assigned or needed by supervisor that employee can safely perform.

-Must work in full compliance with the approved safety regulations

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVE:

-3+ years of experience as a Millwright

-Rigging

-Mechanical aptitude

-Welding/fabrication experience

-Own set of tools

-Clean driving record (client will perform MVR check once direct)

-Must be able to read and understand engineer drawings, blueprints and schematics

Physical requirements:

-Lift, Carry, Push & Pull Heavy Loads. (50lbs)

-Work at elevated heights in tight, confined & awkward positions

-Able and willing to work in non-climate-controlled areas.

-Wear PPE correctly for working shifts

-Climb on a ladder/step/scaffolding as well as high & overhead structures

-Require bending, lifting, twisting, kneeling, pulling/pushing.

-See & Hear well (either naturally or with correction) (Depth Perception & Color Vision required).

-Possess a sense of balance and move over uneven terrain.

-Possess full use of hands and fingers to reach for, manipulate & feel objects.
