Aerotek Welder in TEA, South Dakota

Pay

  • $25-28/hour

Job Description

Join our team in the fabrication department where your main responsibilities will include analyzing, reading, and interpreting blueprints and work instructions to plan layouts and procedures. You will clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding. This role requires welding components using welding equipment in various positions such as vertical and horizontal. Additionally, you will monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material.

Shift

  • Monday thru Friday 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, read, and interpret blueprints and work instructions to take and/or read measurements to plan layouts and procedures.

  • Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.

  • Weld components using welding equipment in various positions like vertical and horizontal.

  • Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion or expansion of material.

  • Inspect workpieces to verify conformity with quality standards and specifications.

  • Monitor the welding process to ensure consistent quality and make adjustments to maintain optimal weld integrity.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper storage of welding equipment, tools, and materials.

Quailifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 4 years of welding experience

  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is desired.
