Job Title: Welder
Job Description
We are currently seeking motivated and talented individuals for Welder positions in our Steel and Irrigation Operations division. As a Welder, you will be responsible for welding metal components together to fabricate or repair products according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders using brazing and a variety of arc and gas welding equipment. This role includes fusing metal structural components for the fabrication of steel electrical poles, substations, and other structures. You will also perform minor welding machine maintenance, use labor reporting systems, and handle routine shop forms.
Skills
Hands-on welding experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Experience with welding equipment maintenance
AWS welding certification (preferred)
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Positive interaction and communication with coworkers
High awareness for safety
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment
The work environment is heavily industrial, requiring jeans, steel toes with metatarsal cover, and shirts. The large campus may necessitate driving from building to building. The environment can be noisy and sometimes dirty.
