Aerotek CNC Programmer/Machinist in Warren, Michigan

Description:

General Summary: Set up and operate equipment to manufacture the highest quality parts, while maintaining production standards and safety precautions,using assigned equipment

Key Duties:

Set up machinery according to production schedule.

Inspect parts for proper documentation.

Run parts for production and assure that proper safety equipment is in use.

Place finished parts into designated containers. Ensure all material is clearly identified.

Ensure accuracy of completed work and computer entries.

Immediately inform Supervisor of any machine malfunction, Production, Quality or Safety issues.

Perform repetitive bending, reaching and lifting actions involving material weighing in excess of 10 pounds and up to 100 pounds.

Regularly inspect in-process and finished parts to ensure quality goals and zero defect criteria are met.

Perform all production duties according to established TS-16949 procedures.

Additional Duties:

Provide continual process improvement suggestions designed to improve quality and efficiency within operating area.

Perform duties safely and efficiently.

Maintain clean work environment.

Assist in material handling duties when necessary.

Perform other duties as assigned by Department Leader.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

One year experience performing CNC bending functions in metal fabrication.

1st Shift Opportunity: 5am - 3:30PM

Monday - Friday

Saturday's (sometimes)

Pay: Flexible

MUST HAVES:

Mastercam programming from scratch

Experience with Vertical milling machine

2D & 3D vertical milling

Reading blueprints

Supporting Jig, Fixture and hard tool builds

Tight Tolerances

Experience in shop or low volume high mix fabrication environment

Nice to Have:

basic working knowledge of GD&T

Utilization of Cad/Cam Software or Fusion 360 Powermill
