Aerotek Material Handler in Wood Dale, Illinois

Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will be integral to the operations of our manufacturing facility. Your primary responsibilities include moving inventory and OEM equipment/raw materials (metal/steel), loading and unloading products onto trucks using both manual methods and pallet jacks, and utilizing an RF Scanner to ensure the accuracy of product movement. You will also be involved in lifting items weighing 30-50lbs as needed, palletizing, shrink wrapping, and preparing products for transportation. Additionally, maintaining cleanliness in the work area and assisting in staging and break downs are key aspects of this role. This position is critical as we are transitioning to a new facility in Wood Dale and will require your help in moving products and raw materials to the new location, which is anticipated to take 4-5 months.

Hard Skills

  • Warehouse/Manufacturing experience

  • Manual material handling

  • Experience with RF Scanner

  • Pallet jack operation

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Wood Dale, Illinois.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing setting at our Wood Dale facility. It requires a readiness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The position is for the first shift, running from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
