Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for mechanical and electrical maintenance, including building maintenance within the plant. Your duties will involve working with industrial shredders, grinders, separation equipment, heavy molding equipment, and laminating and packaging equipment. The role requires performing 80% mechanical preventative maintenance and troubleshooting, alongside 20% electrical troubleshooting and repair. The position may involve physical work and spans across various shifts, including a third shift from Sunday to Thursday and a first shift from Monday to Friday, with overtime and weekend work as needed.

Hard Skills

  • Industrial maintenance experience

  • Mechanical and electrical system troubleshooting and repair

  • Hydraulic and pneumatic repairs

  • Understanding of PM schedules

  • PLC troubleshooting

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in YORK, Pennsylvania.

Work Environment

The plant operates in a diverse setting where temperatures vary, and conditions can be dirty. Maintenance staff is expected to wear long pants, plain shirts, work jackets, steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and ear protection. Safety protocols are continuously updated to ensure a secure working environment. The plant employs 125 total employees and uses up-to-date machinery, though breakdowns are common, necessitating regular maintenance.
